The facility which opened in Shelby County in January,
2007 has provided more than 200 abused and homeless women and their
children a safe and loving Christ-centered environment in which to
live. The home includes two-room family suites, a library and learning
center, day care center, playground and butterfly garden, a prayer room,
a counseling room, two dens, dining room and kitchen, as well as
administrative offices. The program at Hannah Home Shelby guides the
women through four phases during their stay which ultimately leads to
their relocation to one of four transitional apartments on the property
in which they experience independence and self-reliance. Hannah Home
Shelby is a ministry of The King’s Ranch and Hannah Homes.
The Auxiliary has played an important role in hosting signature events with nationally known celebrities including “An Evening with Jane Seymour”, “A Recipe for Hope with Paula Deen”, “An Evening of Champions-Scoring a Victory for Hannah Home Shelby” and “Boots, Blues and Barbeque with Taylor Hicks”. We continue our fundraising events annually with Spring Tablescapes and a Fall 8K race, “Run Away…From Domestic Violence”.
